Hi guys, is this normal,
1 hr of footage 1440x1080 HDV, rendering a proxy in half size, preview quality,
It flies at first, ( 4times realtime) then task manager shows the ram usage slowly going up to 11.3 gb and the render slows to about 1/4 realtime.
CPU usage is only 16%.
Is it just the way it is, or is something wrong.
Suggestion for fast encode proxy file?

Win 7
Vegas 64
core i7 920 oc 3.8ghz

found my own answer,
Nero Vision convert to MP2 , 3mbps, 640x360. Took 10 mins for 1 hr footage,
Vegas was going to take 2.5 hrs for the same at 1.2mbps.
Dont know why, but Vision is a solution for quick proxies.
