Anybody try to look inside of the mini35 to see if what prism they use? It looks to me from the picture (I never seen the real one) they use 1 roof prism and 1 penta prism to correct the image, this is just my opinion. Any idea?

inside there are only some roof prisms and one mirror as far as I remember.

I think there should be 2 mirrors, 1 you cannot see facing backward. This 2 mirror do the job of penta prism. If only 1 mirror, the picture will be upside down.

There has already been a lot of prism discussion... look here:

Hope it helps

Thank you for your link. I still think 1 roof prism and 2 mirrors or 1 roof prism and 1 penta prism will give the shortest path of light. They are more expensive than the 2 right angle prisms but will give a more compact design. Thank you.

I tested with mirror and it works OK. I am ordering the prisms right now.

are you getting your prisms from surplusshed.com ???

No. To my calculation, using 2 right angle prisms to get 24mmx18mm, 1 should be at least 24mm thick x 26mmx37mm and 1 should be at least 18mm thick x 35mmx50mm. So to make the unit compact, I ordered the size close to those. Surplusshed doesn't have those size.
