Mine is going to expire soon, and even though my EX1 is in immaculate shape, I'd like to buy myself some peace of mind for the extra 2 years...

All UK Sony authorized resellers do have such an item (some GBP 250 + VAT), but I'd like to hear from somebody who actually knows how it works. Is it enough to pay, receive the new Contract number and re-register your camera? Is the same covered as under the original Prime Support Agreement?

I am thinking the same thing. It only wants something to go wrong and there will I am sure be no change out of £250. It is only a 1 year extended warranty I think but should get one.
