What is the difference between the Microsoft AVI file, with the Cineform codec selected, and the Cineform AVI file in the Adobe CS4 Media Encoder? Neoscene installed.

I am not sure, but I believe the VFW exporter is limited to 8bit color, while Cineform's is not. I would assume that Cineform's exporter offers more functionality in regards to passing metadata through the process and such, but I am not sure on that. I believe the Cineform exporter "should" be faster as well. Edwin Baldwin December 10th, 2009, 10:10 AM Thanks for the reply. I am trying to determine the workflow to downconvert HD to SD using the Lanzcos 3 scalar 'included' in Cineform importer in place of the scaling with Adobe Media Encoder MP2 encoding.
