This came up a while ago for me and I just remembered to post now, if any of you are running Final Cut 5 and you upgrade to snow leopard you will not be able to capture via your A1, it's a bug that I don't think apple will fix.
I upgraded anyway to FCP 7 which is fine, but I just thought I would warn people.
