Was hunting around looking for deinterlace workflow solutions others have been using for their 60i footage.
Currently I import my XHA1s 60i footage into FCP as Apple Pro Res 422-60i. After editing is complete I export the final project as a "quicktime movie" with "current settings". Then send that to Compressor with the following deinterlace settings:
Frame Controls: On
Resize Filter: Best
Output Fields: Progressive
Deinterlace: Best (Motion Compensated)
Rate Conversion: Best (High Qual Motion Compensated)
I found this takes about 40-60 minutes to process each 1 minute of HD video on a QuadCore Mac Pro. End result is pretty good though.
What do others recommend or use when deinterlacing 60i? Would love to know! Thanks..
