Just getting my Glidecam 2000 (just the sled) and wondering if anyone had any setup tips, configurations, and # of weights?


Also, I was looking at the difference between the 2000 and 4000 and the only major difference is the bottom weight holder plate (4000 is larger). If I make a larger bottom weight plate (identical to the 4000) will I in essence have a 4000?

I believe the 4000 has a longer pole. Neither will handle the weight of the EX very well. It's too much weight on your arm to hold unless you're a weight lifter.

I had 4000 pro glidecam and EX1, I managed to never perfect balance .. so I sold to buy a Merlin a new model.
