Just bought a XH-A1 . I have a HV20 which I plan to use for play back and to record to computer hard drive . Question . Will it make a difference IQ playing back on the hv20 or is out put the exact same as if I were using XH-A1 Thanks ..........Will

Been using that system for the last 2 years. Works great for me. Digital is digital via firewire and the 24p works as it should.

Same here, firewire 800. If your NLE is Vegas, don't let the HV20 downconvert A1 HDV to SD. Capture it as HD then do your editing and transcoding later.
