Martin Wiosna February 16th, 2011, 06:42 AM Price for the letus setup? This is the 72 mm ring setup?
Tom Robertson February 16th, 2011, 09:55 AM I bought 2 of these last week and decided I don't need both so one is going up for sale. I opened up the box
and tried it out so technically it's "used" but I just used it in my livingroom and tried it in the car to see what the quality was like. Quality is nice but at this price point about all you can expect. This one is the one that only has the sticky mount -- no suction cup.
Good for those shots where you need the small size.
Here's a link to the specs at B&H:

$195.00 and $10 shipping CONUS ONLY -- payment via paypal. A good deal for someone!
John Cavala February 16th, 2011, 11:22 AM Hi Ben,
I replied to your email on the 12th -- maybe it went into a spam box. Let me know if you don't find it. A photo was sent along in that one.
Best,
John
Tom Robertson February 16th, 2011, 12:09 PM I have some interested buyers on another forum so I'm posting this additional info in case someone here is also interested:
Comes with everything pictured in the B&H link for the GoPro Naked. I should mention there is a minor, the size of the head of a pin, imperfection where the edge of the lens meets the mount. So minor it would not affect performance and I would even think of returning it since it is so minor.
I only mention this so everyone knows beforehand. If you feel it is unacceptable just return it to me, but I think you will be happy with it if you buy it.
I'm very particular about things like this and this is so slight I would not object to it or return it because of this.
First buyer to send payment via Paypal gets it.
Michael Ferrara February 16th, 2011, 01:17 PM I'll buy it if it is still warranted etc
Tom Robertson February 16th, 2011, 03:44 PM There is a paper with it describing the manufacturer's warranty but no card as such to fill out
and send in so I would guess you would have to be the original buyer with the receipt with
your name on it for the warranty to apply.
I'll be glad to sell it to you but I can't offer any manufacturer's
warranty other than to say if it's not as I represented
just send it back the next day and I'll refund your payment.
The unit is fine as I said -- less than a week old.
If no one buys this I'll just keep it and use it.
Either way, thank you for your interest.
Tom Robertson February 16th, 2011, 05:19 PM As of tonight, the item is no longer available. Thanks to all for their interest.

Duncan Craig February 18th, 2011, 04:03 PM Are you still looking for a Z1? Regards, Duncan.
Les Wilson February 18th, 2011, 04:41 PM I can personally speak to the high integrity of Dave Rice. The MRC1K is a great companion to the A1 and breaths life into that workhorse by giving it and and some other Firewire equipped cameras a good solid state capability.
It is especially good for Z5 owners as that camera is built for MRC1K integration directly. The MRC1K mounts well with other cameras like the XH-A1 and has a nice variety of functions for record sync and rollover recording. Because of it, I was able to use it with an A1, XL1s and a TRV-900.
BUT THE BEST FEATURE of all is the cache recording that stores 3 seconds prior to pressing record. That saved me plenty of times.
Lastly, the MRC1K runs like 5 hours on the FP-550 battery that Dave is including.
There's more here: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-xh-series-hdv-camcorders/484610-turning-canon-xh-a1-sony-mrc1k-into-reliable-tapeless-kit.html
Les Wilson February 18th, 2011, 04:58 PM I can personally speak to the high integrity of Dave Rice. It's sad that we're losing Dave's contributions to the world of video and for many of us, a wonderful old duffer's perspective on the beauty of Alaska.
Forgetting the Portabrace marketing schpeal about the RS-XHAG1 rain slicker, I used this model slicker on an A1 for days walking and riding around various cities. What I loved the most was how the slicker design lets you use the camera's top handle to shoot with. When doing it, everything stays dry and the camera is comfortable to hold keeping the hand inserted into the slicker all the time.
Another thing I like shooting with this slicker is how it has a built in sun shade for the flip out LCD. Of course it protects it when shooting with it flipped out in the rain but when the sun comes out, it's a handy sun shade.
I shoot manually and was able to access all 3 of the A1 lens rings by making a small modification to the slicker. Dave's slicker has that modification.
The PB slicker takes the worry out of shooting when you go out for the day not knowing if you'll run into some rain. It sits nicely on the bottom of the bag, a large pocket in your vest/coat or heck, shoot with it on.
PB stuff wears like iron and holds it's value. This unit looks like it's in new condition and is well worth the asking price.
Michael Ojjeh February 18th, 2011, 07:38 PM Canon XL H1 in mint condition, I am the only owner,

Les Wilson February 18th, 2011, 10:40 PM Epilog: The Petrol PSMB is nowhere to be found. All sites that show it end up not having it in stock. I ended up buying a Porta Brace MXC-33 and I have to say I am glad I did. It's isn't obvious from any photos anywhere but the front part of the case for holding wireless receivers is actually the Portabrace RM-Multi accessory. It is totally removable for times you want to slim down and there's still a pouch on the base unit to hold a receiver. I do like the bag a lot and it's not huge left to right. It's perfect for the Shure FP31, FP32 and FP33 mixers.
Derek Borabo February 18th, 2011, 11:33 PM Interested with this one. Do you have some pictures or video of it? Please send it to my mail. Thanks.
Michael Galvan February 19th, 2011, 08:51 AM I'm sorry, this had just sold a day ago.
Thanks to everyone who had interest.
Roger Van Duyn February 19th, 2011, 09:57 AM That modification to access the 3 rings has me interested. I shoot a lot of sports with my A1, and it rains a lot here in Florida.
Sure is a good price. If it's still available in a couple of days... Need to transfer funds to paypal account.
Seeing if Mr. Postman brings a check for me. Should be here today or tuesday. Client was mailing it yesterday.
Wish I could get that Sony CompactFlash card unit. That's a great price too. Depends on what the CPA says about the taxes. My business started making some money a few months ago, and not sure at all about this years tax status. I've only been in business 18 months. Punched a timeclock for forty years previously. Big difference. (Sure is more fun!!!)
Bill Ward February 19th, 2011, 09:58 AM This is a mildly used AJA HD10MD3 HD to SD digital downconverter. It's about $1300 new these days. Priced at $650, including the operating manual, a D-tap power supply with two end plugs, and a rare, hard to find original AJA shipping box with a bright green Lead-Free RoHS compliant sticker still attached.
I used this to downconvert an HD-SDI output to SD for an on-camera wireless video system.
From the website:
The AJA HD10MD3 is a miniature downconverter; it accepts a High Definition SDI digital video signal and downconverts to output Standard Definition SDI digital video. It also features the ability to output Standard Definition Analog Component video utilizing D to A conversion circuitry.

Aspect Ratio
The output of this device can be formatted for 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios.
Digital or Analog Output
Standard definition SDI or analog video can be utilized from the output of this unit.
Multi-Format Input
A variety of High Definition video formats can be input for conversion.
Dual Rate
The input accepts either HD-SDI or SD-SDI and converts to the proper parameters.
Embedded Audio
This device allows 4 channels of embedded audio to be passed to the SDI output.
Compact Size
This unit measures less than six inches long enabling it to be used in small studio spaces, multiples in a rackmount and on a desktop.
Michael Galvan February 19th, 2011, 10:05 AM I have this P+S Technik Mini35 400 version in very good, like new condition. I have the relay lens mount for the Canon XL series camcorders. Also included is the Nikon lens mount.
I recently bought this from another great DVInfo member cause his price was just fantastic. But as I have access to another mini35 and am interested in maybe the compact version, I figured I just pass this off for the same price to someone else who could use it.
Looking for $700 + shipping for the whole unit. This is a fantastic deal, considering the price that these go for. And the unit is in very new condition.
Thanks,
Michael
Simon Wood February 19th, 2011, 10:32 AM Hi Michael,
I saw that the first time it had been posted by the previous owner - you bought it pretty quick! Will it include everything that was in the original listing?
I'm interested in this, but I'd like to ask a couple of questions. How big is it in total, in terms of packaging (and about what weight is it).
Does it work well? Did you have a chance to use it with your nanoflash at all?
I've been saving up money to buy a DSLR, but this may suit me better.
Payment by paypal? If I was to buy it I'd need it delivered to a friend in New Jersey, so that he could bring it next time he comes out my way.
Cheers,
Simon
Michael Galvan February 19th, 2011, 11:17 AM Hi Simon,
Yes I bought it quick cause it was such a deal! But it feels a little too luxurious basically having 2 mini35s now.
I have tested the unit and it works perfectly and looks practically brand new. I did test it with the Nano and the footage is fantastic.
Yes I'll include everything. It has both a PL mount and a Nikon mount. I'd like to keep one of the mounts if possible for use on another mini35. Do u have mount preference?
I think the mini35 produces a much better image than a DSLR, especially if recording to a nano.
If your friend is in NJ, he is welcome to come to NY to pickup and check out unit if he'd like.
Paypal is good. Let me know if u want to do it.
Thanks!
Simon Wood February 19th, 2011, 11:26 AM Hi Michael,
I'll have to try and contact my friend in NJ to see if I can get this arranged. Just so he knows what he is getting himself in for can you give me an estimate of the total size of the package and the weight. Does it come with any cases?
Thanks!
