Hi, I would greatly appreciate it when someone lucky enough to already use a 7D would upload some raw video footage to the internets for me to try out different workflows. I'm thinking of buying one but really would like to try some editing first. I searched for raw material but didn't find any. So if anybody knows where to find some, links would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

hi Julian,
personally, i think that the raw 7D footage chomps up alot of memory from your system. I think most people would use an intermediary codec such as Cineform or Canopus Procoder.
Do you have one of these to try editing?
cheers

We have Final Cut Studio with fcp 7 at school, i dont really know if the codecs you mentioned work with it. I just wanted to see what raw files out of camera look like and what you can do with them. I would like to see some 1080p or 720p footage at 24p but i only found edited stuff recompressed for Vimeo and the like.
thanks

Here's a very quick clip on Vimeo (download the original unedited straight-out-of-camera clip on the right side of page by right-clicking and "save as"). It's just a very low-light clip from some testing I was doing but you can use it for converting to ProRes 422, which is the most common Final Cut workflow.
