Hi all,
I use the Sony EX1. I have tried using SD cards (Kingmax 16GB SDHC 6th generation cards using the MxR Expresscard Reader), but this system has proved unreliable. So I want to buy another SxS card. The problem is how to get data off the cards while in the field. Having a computer on standby isn't a viable option. When I thought the SD cards would work, I solved this problem with a Nexto - it reads SD cards - so during the day, I would put my footage onto the Nexto, then at night, I would back it up on another disc up via my computer. But my Nexto doesn't read SxS cards (they do have a model that reads SxS cards, but it's really expensive). So, I want to find a SxS card reader that I can attach to the Nexto. The Sony reader doesn't seem to be a good option because it needs a power source - am I right? What about the SIIG USB to ExpressCard adaptor: SIIG, Inc. : USB to ExpressCard Adapter - (JU-000012-S1 ) (http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=JU-000012-S1)
Does anyone have experience using this? Is it reliable?
Does anyone have any other solutions for my problem?
Thanks!
