Simon Wyndham November 21st, 2009, 11:11 AM I can now use Snow Leopard full time :) Great news!
Ivan Snoeckx November 23rd, 2009, 09:13 AM Does it also solves the issues for the Professional Discs?
Daniel Wright November 23rd, 2009, 04:26 PM According to the Readme notes, the FAM driver included does not work on Snow Leopard and is therefore not installed. This is probably why you don't have to restart your computer after installing ver 2.11 on Snow Leopard.
What problems are you having? The FAM driver shipped with ver 2.10 seems to work OK for straight importing. It only gets in a mess when you start renaming things.
Ivan Snoeckx November 24th, 2009, 07:47 AM I just can't see what I'm importing. The thumbnails aren"t working.
Tim Bradley November 24th, 2009, 01:28 PM 2.11 solved the thumbnail issue for me. All seems to be working ok now with snow leopard.
Cheers, Tim
Uli Mors December 4th, 2009, 08:11 AM just to be sure: can anybody confirm full xdcam transfer tool functionality with snow leopard?
Thanks

Andy Mees December 6th, 2009, 02:26 AM It works fully for me Uli ... who knows, perhaps there is a function I am not using that happens also to be not working, but I don't know of one.
Thierry Humeau December 16th, 2009, 10:16 AM Is the PDW-U1 working correctly with XDCAM Transfer 2.11 on Snow Leop?
Thierry.
Luc De Wandel December 17th, 2009, 07:45 AM It works fully for me Uli ... who knows, perhaps there is a function I am not using that happens also to be not working, but I don't know of one.
When you say 'fully', do you mean that the FAM-function works, so you can ingest clips from the Pro-disk into FCP?
Thierry Humeau December 17th, 2009, 09:31 AM Yes, that is the question.
Jeff Halperin December 18th, 2009, 02:31 PM Thierry,
It ALMOST works fully for me. Every time I insert a disk into the U1, it comes up labelled "Test" in XDCam transfer. I cannot rename it. Also, I cannot play the full-rez clip, just the proxy.
Importing works just fine as does the proxy viewer.
This is not the case for my other machines that do not have Snow Leopard installed.

Yes. I am able to fully utilize FAM functionality with XDCAM HD optical media under Mac OS X 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). Note I am NOT mounting media using a USB attached PDW-U1 drive unit, I am using a firewire attached PDW-F70 deck.
Luc De Wandel December 27th, 2009, 05:17 PM Thanks Andy, in the meantime I already found out that the answer was 'yes': tested it yesterday and everything works fine after downloading version 2.11.0 of XDCAM Transfer from the Sony site. I'm also working via Firewire, but straight from the F350.
