Could someone please put me out of my misery?!

Not too long ago I saw one of those growing organic/vines/leaves kind of transitions which would work perfectly for something I am trying to do at the moment. I guess they are becoming a bit passe now, but it is a perfect fit for my project. Here's the thing: I can't recall if it was for Vegas, After Effects, Flash or what! I have no idea if it was free or commercial. And I have absolutely NO idea where I saw it! I just have this hazy, Merlot-fuelled recollection that it was a Vegas thing.

Is anyone aware of any such transition?

Sorry to be so vague!

Digital Juice has many of those exact things, maybe called wipes, if I'm not mistaken. Not free, so perhaps you were thinking of another source.

Maybe one of the Digital Juice products (Editor's Toolkit, Editor's Toolbox, Compositor's Toolkit, etc.)?

Right. I think they call it Motion Designer's Toolkit. Almost $500. Ouch. But if you need that "Desperate Housewives" ivy stuff, there it is. :)

Ouch, as you say!

I'm almost certain it wasn't a DJ product but I am so hazy about it that I could be mistaken. I even have a memory of playing with the transition (or effect?) and thinking 'hmmm, this is worth keeping in mind . . .'.

Don't you just HATE that?!

Thanks for the ideas, guys.

I rather enjoy a Merlot-induced fog. Oh, the forgetting part, you mean...yeah.

That software you linked to requires After Effects. Won't work for those who only have Vegas.

I do have AE, but I am still convinced this was something really simple - just a couple of design elements to choose from, variable density and speeds. I am KICKING myself!

Before you go to sleep tonight, tell yourself to remember where you saw it.
Put a pencil & a piece of paper beside the bed so that you can write it down when you wake up from dreaming about it :-)

Uh-oh . . . . Merlot kicking in . . . . ;-)
