Hi,

I have a lot of footage shot as a single take on EX-3. Now I would need to do a scene detection on the footage? What are my options? I tried the Magnum scene detector script in After Effects, but it didn't do a very good job. Most of the transitions are zooms in to tighter shot sizes.

Hi,

How have you recorded multiple clips onto a single clip file on your EX3?

Thanks

Every time one starts and stops recording a new clip is created. There's no need for scene detection that I can imagine.

If you've done one long take one could use the camera's marker feature or add them in ClipBrowser.

For a moment there I thought I had missed a great feature with the EX3. My F355 would shoot multiple clips into a single file. Really great for doing GVs etc. No such feature on the EX3.

Scene detection works by finding a totally different scene within a clip sequence. The EX1/3 creates a new clip everytime you press the record button, so in effect you have an automatic scene detection
