I have a PD-170 that has the Greg Winter audio mod and has never run tape. I loaded tape as a backup but never had to use it when I recorded direct to a Firestore FS-4.

The top mic was removed and I don't know if I have it. I do have the wide angle lens.

Hours are:

28X10 operation
0 Drum run
0 Tape run
1 Threading

Anyone care to give me an idea what it's worth ?

And please, no low offers, I'm seriously trying to determine how to price it.

well I've seen some on ebay with a lot more hours, which obviously wouldn't be hard to do,gotta love them harddrives ;-), asking anywhere from $1500 to $1800.

Even with the super low hours I don't think you'd be able to get much more than about the top number only because everyone now is getting rid of their SD stuff and going to HD BUT I would think a camera with the hours on yours should sell pretty quickly.

For what it's worth, my PD150 went last spring with around 400 operating, 150 drum and 100 tape with two NP-960 batteries, external charger, Sony soft sided case for $1000 BUT with a broken RCA video jack.

Well what I was trying to determine is the value of the Winter audio mod, more so than the 0 hours.

It's very hard to say what the audio mod ads to the value because it's been added to a 4:3 camera, and I'd suggest 4:3 was more damaging for resale than Don's HD thoughts.

I'd think that the zero hours was the more important point to push in the advert, as anyone familiar with the advantages of the Winter mod won't be in the market for a 4:3 cam.
