I'm interested in using this with a SSD . I don't want spinning media on a camera.
How have the e-HDR hard drive recorders been working? Any "restore" errors occurring?
Is there a power adapter that allows you to use a D tap?

e-films (http://dolgin.net/e-HDR%20power%20options.htm) #3 configuration is what you need

Alex: is there any way to get rid of the "adapter" between the D-tap connector AND the e-HDR ?? ... I donīt need an "extra" sony-battery adapter in the setup.... keeping the setup as simple and portable as possible using a Dtap....
kind regards

Enrique, the D-Tap is 12V-14V, as produced by a BP-U battery. The drives always use 5V. The adapter is a step down regulator circuit, it has to be somewhere in between the battery and the drive. In our case it is hidden inside the plate. Regards.

thank you Alex... I understand... maybe we have to ask Ross about building a 12V special version of the e-HDR (maybe the regulator inside the enclosure) for 12V batteries/EX3 users like me....
