Here I was hoping that the Log and Transfer in FCP 7 would solve my biggest issue, which is... Not transferring the date and time of the recorded clip. It changes the Modified Date to the time it's transferred into Final Cut - useless information. I want to retain the date from when it was shot.

Now there is a feature that allows you to name your clips to the Date and Time, but I want to keep the original filename.

Does anyone have ideas for how to achieve this?
