So i've seen the beauty of hardware downconversion using IO cards for HD > SD video. Its a crapton better than what a NLE's software encoder can do. So my question is, is there a hardware encoder for HD videos that will be eventually made into bluray discs?
I'm currently using adobe and it makes me wonder, what other options there are other than the mainconcept encoder. Thanks for any insight

For encoding HD footage into Blu-ray (H.264) files I'm aware of two hardware accelerators.

FIRECODER Blu from Grass Valley and CompressHD from Matrox.

FIRECODER Blu (http://desktop.grassvalley.com/products/FIRECODERBlu/index.php)

H.264 Encoding Accelerator - Matrox CompressHD (http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/compresshd/)

I don't understand....

Are you looking for a hardware rendering, or encoding solution??
What is the bulk of your workflow, and whats the bulk of your output?
