I Cant find the control to adjust the auto iris exposure level. When left with camera mode in auto the images are often over exposed in sunlight or under bright light. Can someone recommend settings so i can choose between either mode?

The best way - in my humble opinion - to work with the Z7 is to adjust the aperture manually all the time, using the histogram en zebra functions. Both systems should allow you to avoid over- and underexposure in most conditions. When in doubt, you can push the 'auto iris' button for a second. The automatic exposure control then kicks in momentarily.

In auto one function is tied into another and so on, so without knowing how you have all the auto set it's not really in auto nor will it be in total manual control either but I do agree, this camera works best when treated as a true pro camera with the operator handling all exposure components. Iris, shutter, gain and ND.

Just my opinion but the first place to start is the manual. Read it to learn all the functions of your camera and then practice practice practice with it until you know and understand all the functions and they become 2nd nature to you.
