wonderful how the "old" EX1 handles strong spotlights..
even at f2.0, i think, at the long end...
wonder how different the 350 would do this scene...

Yes, but someone should explain the inverse square law to the singer. She held the mic closer to the piano than to her mouth. She certainly has a powerful voice, but her mic even picked up as much noise from the audience as it did her voice.

i was way back in the club, maybe 60 feet??
the onboard was a Schoeps CMIT-5U which i swear by....nice german shotgun
if you look again at the video, the top of the yamaha piano is a black pouch, there was a wireless sennheiser EW100g2 and a EW112 G2 Lavalier.
i sort of threw things together last minute as i were asked hours before the gala.
i should have bought more than one wireless and miked the girl and the boy.....
oh well..
