I have a set of 24f footage shot on the Canon XHA1, and 60i from the Canon 5dMarkII (can't wait for the 24p firmware).
I've been reading around a lot about the workflows for the 24f format, but I could not find anything in regards to working in a mixed format sequence combining 24f & 60i footage. The 60i footage will be significantly less than the 24f, but what should my settings be when it comes to capturing the footage? I learned that 24f ends up as 23.97 frames instead. Will there have to be any transcoding done to the 60i footage in order to work smoothly with the 24f timeline?
Does anyone have experience working in this type of situation, and what are your recommended capture, project, and render settings?
This sequence will be streamed online btw, no dvd writing or any of that jazz. I'd just like to make this whole thing as quick and painless as possible. These 24p, 24f, 60i mixing up stuff gives me the jitters, and I am fairly new to the fcp world as well.
Much thanks in advance!
