There was a lot of talk at the begining that the P2 cards would be coming down in price--or up in capacity before the camera hit the market but I haven't heard anything about it recently. Is it likely that comes the time we can buy this thing the total will still come to about 10,000 dollars?

P2 cards have done both -- come down in price and gone up in capacity. The $10,000 price for the bundle takes both of those factors into account.

As of today, right now, a 4gb card is the biggest that's available. By the time the camera comes out the capacity will have doubled to 8gb. And the cost of the 8gb card, in the bundle, will be about the same as today's 4gb card.

So yes to everything you asked: yes the cards will be bigger, yes the price will have come down, and yes it will be $9995 for the camera+cards. The price won't go any lower than that, they've already factored in the potential for lower card prices into that bundle.
