I have had my EX1 since June 2008 and lately when I start up the camera it takes 2 or 3 attempts to turn on.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

If so does it require to be sent back to Sony for repairs?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Well this sounds worrying. Not experienced anything like this (on my EX3) but would suggest you try the "full reset" (I'm sure many EX1 owners will help you with exactly how as I don't know the specifics for that cam). Then, if it's still problematic, I'd suggest it's time to call Sony unless anyone has any better suggestions. Good luck - and let us know how you get on...
