I am new to Premiere Pro CS4, I was wandering if there is an easy way to delete a project from premiere? I want to delete the project and all related files from my hard drive. The files are being saved by default to my c drive , I have my scratch disk set to k drive, must I use explorer to search out and delete all these files or can you do this in Premiere? I can’t seem to find an answer. There seems to be many knowledgeable people on this forum, and was hoping someone might know.

It's a two step process. I'm not at my Premiere station right now, so I'm going from memory here, but first, open the project. Then select all the footage in the bin (click on one, then ctrl-a to select all). Then hit delete. I believe there's a confirmation box that will come up asking if you want to delete the media from your hard drive. Just answer yes, then save and close the project. The second step is to explore to the project file name and delete it.

I think to get that confirmation box about deleting the files from the disk, you need to right-click on the files in the bin and choose "Unlink Media," at least on CS3. I think just deleting the files from the bin merely removes the references to them without affecting the files themselves. I could be wrong about this.

Good catch, I think you're right on there. Shows how great my memory is (NOT!).

I used to keep everything -- all media and scratch disks -- on one giant RAID 3 array. All the scratch disks were set to "Same as project." So all I had to do was delete the folder -- done! But now I've got them scattered around on different arrays to improve performance (which I'm not convinced it really does) so housekeeping is a bit of a chore.

One thing you could do is use Project Manager to collect all the trimmed files and project into a new, smaller archive location, and then just delete that whole folder when you're sure you won't need it anymore.

By the way, nothing but OS and Programs should be on your C drive.
