Hello to the all Test pilots of the of the new EX1R & PMW-350.
Also, a Special Thanks to Alister Chapman on the pre-production review.

My question: Can Sony's new upcoming XDCAM cameras (EX1R & PMW-350) Superimpose a DATE & TIME image on Video in real-time?
EXAMPLE: { Oct. 21, 2009 10:11:23am } Hour; Minutes; Seconds.
I noticed that this simple feature is missing from Sony's current XDCAM & EX models.

My clients depend on this feature for Legal Depositions & Day in the Life shoots.

P.S.- If Sony's reading this post; please add this feature! :-)

Thanks in Advance!
TM

For depositions I apply the time and date stamp in Final Cut. I record with clock timecode and use the timecode reader filter. The date I just add with identical black box and white text.

On most professional cameras the facility is there to record time/date info in user bits so that there is no danger of it ever appearing on screen by accident.

No the cameras don't burn in the date/time in vision. It is stored within the clips Metadata.
