I live around Dallas. Does anyone know of a place that can demo any camcorders anymore? Times have changed. I've tried ECI and Videotex, now all they have on hand are JVC (which I might wind up going to.) I'd like to demo Sony (Z5U/EX-1) or Canon (XLH1s). Thank you in advance......

Also, if you go with ECI you won't be disappointed. The have excellent customer service. The fact that they have a onsite repair facility is a plus also. I bought my camera from them.

Thanks guys. I have bought 2 cameras from ECI, and think they're great place to do business with. However all they can demo now is JVC products. It's not their fault, they say it's the manufactures reps that won't allow them to keep them there on site. I'm hoping as the economy gets better, they'll be back to the old ways.

In the meantime, I'm going HD(V) and buying a new camera (as you already know) without trying out the fit, and controls, etc. is like buying a different car on line. I might have to fly somewhere......
