This has been beaten to death, but I thought I'd pick the brains of experts here. I've made it my personal mission to humiliate CL posters who offer "no pay but excellent contacts."

I think collectively, we can come up with a response that will let these posters know that the days of working for free have long since passed. Suggestions?

"Do I look like a lollipop to you?" (sucker)

Has the advantage of having a unique, unlikely search term so you can cross reference /Google when the same guys are trying the same old game...

I just posted an ad in response to a "play at our restaurant for free for exposure" looking for bands.
My ad: "Looking for a restaurant to cater our band performances, no pay, but great exposure for your food".

Read a really perfect CL reply post from someone seeking a brain surgeon with experience and credentials. Said brain surgeon would need to provide their own operating room, staff and equipment. No pay but great exposure to other brain damaged individuals.

Loved it!!!!!!

That made me laugh. You're asking for "experts" to help you create a response that you can take advantage of for your personal use.

How much do you pay?

Jeff
