For those looking to purchase a new Canon camera... here's you $50 towards a 7D or 5DMKII.

I think you can also google a 10% discount for Best Buy if you want to go that route and
use the Canon discount. Not a bad deal...
enjoy

Thanks as always, Ray, but I would like to point out that this is a rebate, not a coupon (in other words, it's not a time-of-purchase discount). Personally I won't do rebates unless they're "instant," which this is not. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I agree with you, Chris. I've had bad experiences with mail-in rebates before. They count on the fact that many people forget about them. I had one on a new phone from a cell phone company (the one with the really rotten customer service) that I never did get. They should be instant or made illegal. I think lots of them are scams.

Agree that they should be instant. But, I have cashed in on $$$ of rebates over the years. The secret is following the instructions exactly and for any mail in rebate over $50 I send it certified mail with signature required. I have had this process challanged two times and won each time.

Why don't you guys want free money?
Pay me now or pay me in 6 weeks, either way is good with me!
Interesting that a lot of rebates come in the form of a credit card!

Nice find. Hey $50 is $50 ... less printing and postage. With all the money we could be sinking into lenses why not?

They make you jump through hoops to get them - with all the paperwork and cutting barcodes from the boxes ... please!!
But to me the big offense is when online stores use them as bait - the biggest culprit is MacMall. I used rebates on free shipping with them three times and not once did they work - not a dime back.
