Shortly after dealing with a “video management file is damaged...recover?” alert (we recovered), our HM-100 began locking up whenever it finished recording a clip. Instead of reverting to the usual green pause symbol, the red record display mysteriously “pinked-out” — a less-than-studly version of a regular menu grey-out. We would then not be able to access cam/media, or, under camera process, either file format or system select, until the camera was powered down and on again.
After much grumbling, reformatting our class-10 cards and going through about five or six restarts, the problem went away by itself and has not reoccurred. The only new thing we were doing during that session was using a wireless lav mic for the first time with this camera, which hardly seems connected; no pun intended.
Has anyone else encountered this phenomenon? Should we be worried? We are in Bermuda, where the national colour is pink — so is it just something in the water?
