Hi,
Please take a moment and watch my latest clip
The first day of autumn on Vimeo
My aim was to abuse DOF and test 720/50p slowed down.
Master to Cineform AVI.
No color correction or other picture manipulation was done.
Lens used:
Samyang 85mm f/1.4
Samyang 8mm f/3.5 (one shot only)
Filters: Format ND 6, 9
Thanks, and if you can, please download and watch it on a big screen.

Awesome! I watched your 720P short on a 24" 1080P monitor. Absolutely beautiful. I didn't know it would look that good blown up. How do you like the Samyang lenses?

Hi Ray, thanks for watching the video.
Music is from Copyright Free Music and Royalty Free Music Library (http://www.akmmusic.co.uk/) track: uptothemountain.
Chad, believe me, watching the clip on a 50inch plasma is even nicer :)
This camera is amazing for the price as long as you know its limitations.

VERY nice Johnnie! I've watched this about 5 times now, I really enjoyed it.
If you can tell me, are you using any particular picture style? Or do you have have any of the in-camera settings like saturation or contrast bumped up? Most of my master 7D files are quite flat in comparison to this.
I have also been struggling with my work flow (i'm new to video and work with Premiere on Windows), so I might look into Neoscene. Do you recall your capture settings? Shutter, Aperture, etc? I appreciate your tips.
Again, really great video!

Guys, sorry for my late response. I am just back from Israel then Japan after filming my first ever real "run and gun" documentary with the 7d. Thought and footage as soon as I can.
Mark, thank for watching the video!
Regarding you questions: There was nothing special on the camera settings. It was "out of the box" 1st. experiment. (standard profile).
I am using Cineform for all my Canon 7d captures and have no issues workflow wise. (just open a Premiere/Cineform project related to your resolution and frame rate).
Richard, thank you or commenting.
Thanks again!
