I'm interested in purchasing the Presonus Firebox to be used in a small studio where we'll be teaching students to make their own radio programs. We can also use it to record vo's for our own video productions as well.

I would like to hear anybody's opinion on this item as well as its competitors. Also, I see the Firebox is being sold on EBay and the seller's usually include extras. Example: One is including an AT2020 mic and another is offering a Studio Projects B1 mic. Any experience with these people?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Anybody have any insight? Or if nobody has any opinion on the Presonus, can anybody suggest other external firewire/USB devices? Thanks again.

The Presonus system is decent, but their drivers aren't the most stable in the world. M-Audio and Echo somewhat have the best support and drivers in the PC world, IMO, and MOTU owns the Apple world, though I use my Echo stuff very successfully and pleasantly with my Apple 'puters.

I own a firepod, which is the bigger cousin. Its drivers are spotty and leave much to be desired.
