View Full Version : Canon 5D Mk2 / Angle Back James Miller October 6th, 2009, 12:47 PM Need I say more.. David W. Taylor October 6th, 2009, 01:33 PM An angled back would be good for us working in video, using the LCD but I think still photographers wouldn't be so pleased with the viewfinder being like that. DT Peer Landa October 6th, 2009, 01:47 PM I would think a flip/swivel LCD would be a better solution. -- peer Don Miller October 6th, 2009, 05:03 PM Need I say more.. Yes, like how anyone would use the optical viewfinder. Remember the "SLR" in DSLR James Miller October 7th, 2009, 12:22 AM Ok, this is a low cost option possible accessory, the 5dmk2 has lots of movement on the 2 ribbon cables going to the rear section, a quick aluminum or plastic spacer shell goes in between. It only takes 7 screws & 2 minutes to remove the back, 2 ribbon cables unhook and your free. You can see through the VF but an angled replacement eye rest could be made. But even if you couldn't I would trade the 'SLR' part for this, not that you would have to. I'm sure I suffer from 5DMK2 crook back, and even a rudimentary mockup is a pleasure to use. Heck you could also get better cooling with some vents. James Carlos Vidal June 29th, 2011, 01:49 AM Need I say more.. Sorry, I'm a Indie filmmaker from Argentine. Where can I find this "add" for 5D? |
