I searched, but could only find a thread from last year that had both a yes, and a no answer.
is the ex3 cleared for 100% production with Nat Geo? or just 50%?

I've heard it's cleared as a "B" camera and not an "A" cam.
So anywhere from 30-50%...I heard the same for Discovery Channel.
Anyone correct me if I am mistaken.

Discovery channel cleared it for silver status, so 100%. I just hadn't heard about nat geo

just found this:
http://www.cinehd.biz/DIGITALFILM/Downloads/Universal%20Tech%20Specs%20for%20Hi-Definition%205-22-07.pdf
but its from 2007, I would be willing to bet an updated version would include specs for the ex3...

As a side note, I do know a friend that shoots for NatGeo and uses a Panny HPX-500 as primary and shoots all 720 60p.
