Hello All,
Bit of an odd one, this ...
I have been recording in 'synchronous' mode recently, and for good reason. Ordinarily, I would just record on the 16G card and use 'log and transfer' on FCP. However, after shooting a 4 minute speech, I noticed something odd.
I am recording DV RAW files on the card and the selected file(s) shows up on the 'log and transfer' window on FCP. I click and drag them into the download window.
On playback, the files 'run out' in mid-sentence, a good 30 seconds before the speech has finished. On tape, I have everything - start, middle and end. The 'stop recording' button was pressed a good 4 seconds after the subject stopped talking.
However, if I drag the DV RAW file from the card directly into FCP, I have the entire speech.
No, the remainder of the speech has not been overlapped onto another file ... I recorded 4 speeches and have 4 files on the card.
Any ideas? I don't fancy just using the card for the time being if I'm getting such irregular results.
