I am trying to get iMovie HD to play through my FX1 to a tv, but the footage is choppy with large blocks of blue or grey and eventually the whole screen becomes gery. This happens on both the FX1 LCD and the tv. I've tried all of the settings, but I can't seem to get the footage to play through correctly. Is it possible to do this with the FX1? It's standard DV-NTSC footage in the iMovie project, so there shouldn't be any HDV conversion problems. Thanks.

I'm using a iMac G4 1GHz with 768 MB DDR SDRAM. I know it's not the stud editing machine it should be, but I'm still recovering from my FX1 purchase. I don't do any HDV editing on it, just DV right now, so it's enough for my purposes.

Minimum for HDV is 1GB RAM. You'll need to replace the montherboad 256 with 512. About $90 + 2 Torex screwdrives or take it to an Apple dealer.
