Well, stopped into a local dealer and checked out the XL2. My impressions:
Smaller than I thought it would be, but a tad front heavy. More comfortable on my shoulder than I thought it would be also, but I think it would bother me for long shoots. You really have to tighten up that hand strap.
Nice placement of controls and it seems solidly built.
I really didn't like the viewfinder at all. Very soft and it seemed like it would not stay in place when mounted on a tripod. You either would have to use you eye to keep it still or flip it up to reaveal the LCD.
Lens seemed pretty decent, much like other servos.
Overall, if I decide to buy it, the mono viewfinder would be a must.
