5D2 as been around for about a year now. I was really hoping to see some portable LED light that can use the same battery as the 5D2. If anyone share my desires, can you speak up to let the light manufacturers know.

I know Ikan makes battery plates for monitors and lights, the comer LED light takes different battery but not 5D2, and I have a vidled but they seem to be on hiatus. So please, someone make an adapter of some sort that uses the same battery. Thanks!

Kind of a small battery for a light, and expensive too. I really like the comer, and it runs for hours on a $40 generic sony battery, or ~90 minutes on the smaller, cheaper battery which is still significantly larger than the 5D's - I can't imagine you would get much useable run time out of the 5D battery unless the light had a really low output.

I'm with Min Lee, love a 5DmkII battery option for all my lights, monitors etc. One less charger to carry around would be great.

Evan,
With my vidled, I often opt for the stock battery that came with my Sony A1U because it was small and light. It still lasted a long time with LED.
