Has anyone ever experimented with a Playstation2, to see if you could view your DV via firewire?

In other words:

DV -> PS2 -> TV

I would go firewire to the PS2, and component from the PS2.

The reason I need this is because I am out of component inputs on my system, and I do not have a firewire input on my TV.

Thanks,

David

Just tried it for the sake of experimentation....and it does not work.

I've got a cousin who bought a $20 composite video game switcher and is using it as a component video swithcer. Just match the red, white, and yellow composite connectors with red, green, and blue of your component cables.

Click here to see the one I'm referring to (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pelican-5-Way-System-Selector-PL-940-/sem/rpsm/oid/58513/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do)

I also checked eBay and there are a ton of low cost component video selectors under $50.

btw - are you running a HDV cam?

Tommy,

I know that there are plenty of switchers out there, but I figured that if this worked, it would be an elegant solution.

Yes, I am running HDV - Sony FX1 camcorder.
