Soon being 71 years of age I believe that I am one the oldest members in this forum...
I started in the 80's by producing corporate videos in Sweden. When looking on these videos you can see me blushing...they were so bad. We used U-Matic HB with was state-of-the art these days.
A couple of years ago, after retiring, I took up video again using Ulead Studio, later Pinnacle on PC. One year ago I switched to iMac and bought a Panasonic GS-320 and, six months ago, a Canon HV30.
I've had a hard time switching from PC to Mac and in parallel with that trying to learn Final Cut Express. Fortunately there are so many useful forums you can learn from.
In a few weeks I'll will finalize a 70 minutes documentary shot in Sweden, Estonia and Ukraine.
I am not so very proud to announce that I have pimped my HV30 after following the discussions in this forum. I now have a Raynox 6600 with a Canon AH1 lens hood and a Röde Videomic.
I don't know if this will make my videos better but it will probably enhance my ego.
