I'm looking at a Sony handheld mic/transmitter WRT-810A (64). I can't find any specs on it at Sony and the PDF files for specs on similar mics don’t have frequency info.

It is a UHF mic and it is TV channel 64. My Sony URX-P1 receivers are TV channels 62. 63, 64 and 65, 758MHz to 782 MHz.

Can anyone tell me if these two units are compatible? Is there anything other than channel and frequency that would make them incompatible?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Mike

Just in case you wanted to know, the WRT810A microphones will not work with the Sony URX-P1s, even though the frequencies are compatable.

The Sony URX-P1s, and probably other new sony receivers, send out a tone to the transmitters that it expects back before it will recognize the input. If there is no tone, no signal is sent to the output side of the receiver. Indicators show that it is getting the signal from the Mic, but flashes "notone". This is to prevent interferance from unwanted signals.

Just thought some would like to know!
