One month out of warranty and my FX1 won't power up on battery or 120 volt house power. 5 tapes through the camera and very careful use. I am thankful to have bought the Mack 4 year warranty even though it cost me $68.00 for shipping and insurance. Anyone have a similar problem; maybe we can compare notes. Is there a simple reset feature that I am missing?

My FX1 just died the same way. If I ever find out what was wrong with it, I'll post. Searching this forum finds several reports of this problem for both the FX1 and Z1, but, alas, no solutions other than expensive repair.
