Visited the Government Video Expo in Washington, DC, yesterday afternoon. Canon had a pair of XL1s on the counter (one with the MA200 and B&W EVF), but no samples of the 16x manual lens or 3D lens. Shame on Canon, they had a lot of visitors, and this would have been a logical market for the 3D jobbie.
One other interesting at another display: an XL1 with the EOS adapter, an 800mm OIS lens, and a light amplifier for night vision. But it was not fired up.
Far and away the most popular camcorder for use in booths as part of a vendors display was the GL1!
