I typically use Ritek (Ridata), but every report I've read speaks highly of them. They reportedly have among the best reliability figures.

Considered the best brand. Hard to find except online. Made in Japan.

Make sure you do your research before buying TY's as some come from Korea I believe and are not the same TY's that are known as being the best (japanese origin).

I too use Ritek DVD's they are very good quality without the incredible markup of TY DVD's. I think they strike a very good balance.

real taiyo yuden dvd media is made only in japan.

there has been fake media on the market of nearly all major brands, to the point of where the disc descriptor encoded in the media even has the same i.d. number.

the best media is still made in japan, taiyo yuden or maxell... on many dvd burners, taiyo yuden will typically burn at a faster rate than just about anything else out there, which is indicative of it's quality.

it's also widely available, i've had good luck lately getting 100-piece inkjet printable stacks of it from supermediastore.com.

Taiyo Yuden is considered the best manufacturer of DVDs according to the majority of people on cdfreaks.com forum (and other sites). They have the lowest error rates.

There are some fake ones out there unfortunately.

You can try searching cdfreaks.com for information on where to buy them. In Canada, ncix.com is likely your best bet.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I put in a search for inkjet printable media and checked out a number of sites. I located the Taiyo Yuden DVD's on the "techgeek" site and they didn't seem much more than the other DVD's listed.(Ritek media was also listed.) Thanks again everyone........On an unrelated note: Does FCEHD operate pretty much the same as LumiereHD?
Have a good weekend.

I have been using Taiyo Yudens for over a year, without a problem. If you need discs ASAP, go to Best Buy and purchase Fuji discs that are Made in Japan. If you can wait, you can get a much better deal here: Supermedia Store .com (http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-1604322-10298630) Highly reccomended!

(PS: Don't order the cases)
