ok, i'll start off with my own personal list of fav apps, for assisting in this industry:
(not inc. obvious ones like Mail, Weather, Maps, Safari Internet, Youtube etc)
- Saisuke (to share calendars with my team, so we all know what we're all up to at any given day - this links to Google Calendars/Outlook btw, bonus!)
- HeyWAY (at any point in time I can send my googlemap location to someone in my team, and they can send theirs back - great for when we take 2 cars to weddings, in busy areas)
- any of the Remote Desktop apps (e.g. Jaadu, VNC etc) - (so you can check up on your edit renders while you're out and about!)
- AroundMe (list of nearby hotels, service stations, restaurants etc)
- WhatsApp (chatting, status updates - this uses the Push function so you get sent them instantly)
- AppBox (all sorts of things - dates/units/currency/tips calculator etc etc)
- TubeMap (for help with updates and routes on the London Underground!)
- Ebay (uses the Push function too so i get reminders when auctions are about to end)
- Facebook (check up on fanpages, emails, walls etc)
- SketchPad (quick sketches of visual ideas - even has layers like photoshop)
anymore?
p.s. for those that don't know, you can bookmark your site/blog on your iphones and have your own personal iPhone icon (add either of my web addresses to see what i mean)
p.p.s. And if you get bored during the wedding breakfasts, there's always Rope'n'Fly, TouchPhysics, Monkey Island, GymBabes.... ;)
