i have a JVC GY DV500 with 1/2" CCDs, and i was wondering if the mini35 would work with it. I haven't read anything about it yet on these forums.

As of now the adapter will only work with four cameras. xl1/xl1/sony pd150/dvx100/sony fx1. You best best would be to try making your own mini35 device for it. THe result are surprisingly good. Thomas OHara April 11th, 2005, 04:22 PM make my own? i'm not very handy... Rabi Syid April 11th, 2005, 04:24 PM Check out the alternitive imaging methods forum. you'll find what you'll need to know there. theres not really much to it. Thomas OHara April 13th, 2005, 11:10 AM ok i see all this stuff for making your own mini35...but all the cameras are way smaller than mine, does that make a difference? i wish i had a CD with a tutorial on how to make one. Rabi Syid April 14th, 2005, 10:12 AM If you've got the balls to do it it is a fairly easy thing to build and the concept would work on and camera. Do a search on Marla. THat was a short film made using a standard SLR camera and a canon xm2. That produced amazing results. On their website which is something like-www.marla-the-movie.com. they have a good tutorial that shows you how to make it. Here is another site that explains the concept of the device. http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/dof/index.htm Thomas OHara April 14th, 2005, 01:15 PM thanks so much for those links, they helped a lot!
