I have a sitiation here that i need to incorporate sum1 else's video product already on DVD into my project. Not sure how to go about that, r there any tools or ways to get the video from that DVD into my NLE. Most likely i'd need to do sum color correction on that video, u kno, the regalar stuff. I use Vegas and the video in question i believe is in DVD-R format (i think), not sure how much the format matters thou.

See this thread (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41345). Unfortunately, however you do this there will be a quality loss when converting the MPEG2 back to DV, but it may be good enough for your purposes.
