Have you ever played music on the Windows Media Player? When the music plays, the program makes funky designs (visualizations) that change to the music. Does anyone know of a program that will make backgrounds like that for video?

Wondertouch ParticleIllusion (http://www.wondertouch.com) has a number of fully customizable effects like that.

Lee, this ties in to your question about Apple Motion. That software would be well suited to this kind of thing, although it is best used on fairly short clips.
