We received the DVD's back from the replicator today, so "On Our Way Up" is now officially shipping!

As an added bonus we will be including the HD DVD (Windows Media Video HD, 9.2 Mbps) version at no additional charge! The HD DVD will ship separately in about a week.

Thanks for everyone's support and all the orders so far, this forum has proven invaluable in the production of OOWU!

Here is more info (the OOWU blog):

http://onourwayup.blogspot.com/

The blog allows comments, we welcome any and all feedback, especially from existing customers.

The "official" OOWU page (not as much info but flashier) is at:

http://www.onourwayup.com

Thanks again,

Ben

Thanks Chris!

My biggest fear is we would get 5,000 coasters back from the replicator (or one word would be mispelled, or the graphics would look like crap, etc.). Thankfully everything turned out great!

We are now making the WMV HD DVD version of OOWU available separately as well as bundled with the retail-ready DVD.

Also, the price has dropped a bit.

First off, we are offering FREE SHIPPING on all OOWU orders now. In case you didn't know, "On Our Way Up" is an urban docudrama shot completely in HDV.

Second, the http://onourwayup.blogspot.com URL is NO LONGER VALID and will not be updated. Instead, we've moved everything to http://www.onourwayup.com so as not to confuse people with two different web sites (don't worry, the blog is still there, just in a different form and on a different site).

Anyway, now the pictures, trailer, synopsis, DVD artwork, etc. are all in one place, check it out.

Again, the ONLY url to use now is:

http://www.onourwayup.com

Sorry for the confusion.

Regards,

Ben

FYI, http://onourwayup.blogspot.com is no longer valid, and will not be updated any longer.

Everything has moved to the official OOWU site:

http://www.onourwayup.com

Sorry for the confusion.

Regards,

Ben

That looks like a really interesting production. I'll have to wait a week or so to order my copy (purchased Three 6 Mafia's Choices DVD today), but I think it looks very cool.

Good Work producing this with HDV!

Looks cool! Did you shoot it on the HD10 or FX1, Ben?

I believe he states in another post that he was using the HD10. Most of the scenes look fairly well-lit ect.

I'm interested to know how well this first HDV camera holds up on a final product such as this. Interesting project regardless...

The HD10, when we started (March 2004) it was the only choice for HDV.

Heath, aren't you working on a movie shot in HDV too?

Best prices, best people, and trust me we did a ton of research (since we were going for 5,000 we had to make sure they were not only cheap but the quality had to be perfect, there are no second chances).
