Hi
I would like to buy the FX1, but i'd like to take video while i'm walking. It gives me after the sensation (when viewing the video) that i live again the moment.
I saw a sample video with panning and it didnt looked great.
Have anyone took video like that? how was the quality?
thanks (sorry for my bad english)

read the threads carefully on this forum (search function) and you will see that the footage will be poor!!!

I dont know what some are doing with their cameras, but I never had any problems with any movement of the camera.
When doing crash-pans or shaking the camera the picture looks like I'd excpect from such movements. But I can't see any technical problems.
But I have to admit, that it's not my intention to shake the camera.

I've taken some "just walking" footage and it looks fine to me. Of course, I was trying to keep the camera reasonably steady, and maybe you want a more "bumpy" look, which could change things.
I'd suggest searching for the Sugar Bowl footage that was posted awhile back. There is some really fast panning in there that might help you decide. It's a great illustration of what the compression looks like in motion, compared to just looking at stills.

I shoot while walking all the time- it looks great.. don't understand why anyone would say it looks poor. I also have the shoulder brace and a glidecam. But straight walking while holding the camera works great- I like shooting using two hands in front of you at chest level.
