I am a the owner of a brand new XL1S . I just found out how to turn it on !!! I am a Police Officer and my Department is sending me to a Video Surveillance course next week. My initial plans were to film hunting videos . This year I incorporated a company called "Bird Dog Productions" Though I really have not done anything with it yet. What I really hope to do is have fun with my XL1S and what happens happens. I do intend to buy a GL2 nest month and in Feb 2003 if I can learn how to use my XL1S a little bit more that just turning it on, I will start building a home editing system. Though I have not found another XL1S owner near me I have found that there is quite a network of owners on the internet. I wish you all safe filming, Mike

i was at the READING airshow over the summer and saw an XL1s there so you may have neighbors with the cam that you dont know about.
i always wanted to set up surveillance become a p.i. :) sounds intersesting!
